EU Law and Competition Law
EU law has a direct effect on many of the transactions undertaken by companies inside and outside of Sweden, due to its position both as the superior law and as part of national law. EU competition law acted as a model when Swedish competition law was drawn up, and the praxis of the European Court is hence of considerable importance to Swedish companies.
Ekenberg & Andersson assists Swedish and foreign companies on matters relating to EU and competition law aspects of corporate transfers, acquisitions and mergers, and in the formation of joint companies. When cross-border transactions are involved, we provide competition law advice on the applicability of EU and Swedish competition legislation and with regard to international commercial legislation.
Our close cooperation with legal firms throughout Europe enables us to assist companies on matters relating to competition and free movement of people, goods and services throughout the European market.
