Market Law
Market law is intended to protect consumers and to promote a functioning market by counteracting improper marketing and other unfair behaviour in the market. As a result, this field of law includes laws and rules that regulate the way in which companies may behave in their dealings with consumers and each other, and which relate to the structuring of their marketing activities. It also includes directives issued by a range of authorities on matters such as pharmaceuticals, food products and telecommunications, and EU law regulations.
Ekenberg & Andersson regularly assists both advertisers and PR and advertising agencies with market law issues. We offer advice on issues relating to the Marketing Practices Act, the Alcohol Act, the Tobacco Act and other applicable provisions in connection with, for example, the structuring of their marketing activities.
